3.1 Data description
Specially Protected Natural Areas are natural or complex, of particular nature, ecological, scientific, cultural, aesthetic and health significance, of plant and animal species exposed to rare and endangered species, in whole or in part, permanent or temporary, the land, water (aquaculture) areas and the atmospheric space on them.
National parks, state nature reserves and state nature preserves are specially protected natural areas.

3.4 Statistical concepts and definitions
State nature reserves are areas of nature protection and scientific institution or organization established for the purpose of preserving characteristic and unique natural complexes and objects in natural condition, studying the course of nature processes and phenomena.
National parks are areas with special ecological, historical, aesthetic and other important nature complexes, and are protected by natural protection and scientific, cultural and other purposes.
National parks are allowed to rest. Economic activity in the territory of state nature reserves is absolutely forbidden and the natural complex (land, vegetation and animal kingdom etc.) is protected and studied. Geological prospecting activities are prohibited, such as plowing, cattle grazing, tourism, hunting, fishing, cutting trees, destroying plants, generally using natural resources and breaking their natural state. Anthropogenic activity is not allowed in the reserves, all natural landscapes in the area are protected and used as a scientific center of practice.
State sanctuaries are areas that are of special importance for preservation or restoration of natural complexes or their components, as well as for the preservation of ecological balance.
State nature reserves may be established on land plots from landowners, users and lessees without the acquisition of land plots.
